Question 1

What new construction projects does MIR take on?

Accepted Answer

MIR provides general contracting for new homes and ADUs. The team coordinates design, permitting, and construction around the property, your goals, and the agreed project scope.

Question 2

Can I contact MIR before I have completed plans?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Wilber helps develop ideas and layouts and coordinates with architects. You can also bring plans already in progress so the team can discuss what is ready and what needs to happen next.

Question 3

Who manages design coordination and permitting?

Accepted Answer

MIR coordinates with architects and manages permit applications. For an ADU, we evaluate the property and your goals, then work directly with the architect and local planning department on design, feasibility, and permitting.

Question 4

How do I know whether a new ADU is feasible on my property?

Accepted Answer

The starting point is a property review and a conversation about the intended use and goals. MIR coordinates the next steps with the architect and local planning department so feasibility and permitting can be addressed before the construction scope is finalized.

Question 5

What commercial or investment-property work does MIR accept?

Accepted Answer

MIR handles commercial renovations, tenant improvements, rental property updates, and improvements to prepare properties for listing. We are not taking on large-scale, ground-up commercial new construction at this time.

Question 6

How do I start planning the budget and schedule for a new build?

Accepted Answer

Share the property address, intended use, any drawings, your general budget, and preferred timing. The site, design, materials, permitting, and construction scope guide the estimate and proposed schedule. Start an inquiry online or call (415) 795-0156.
